Sounds like a good idea to me.

Maybe worth the national LUG organisation investigating sponsorship from
Bluebird as well.

Sponsorship from Bluebird would be a good means to fund a local server
containing ISO images of Linux distros, and maybe also even a
Fedora/Debian repository.
