Disclaimer: This is not something I have actually set up but rather
something I have read about that I intend to give a go one day soon.
Have a look at OpenVPN (http://openvpn.net/)
- It looks easy to configure
- No kernel hacks
- Works through NAT (which IPSec can be difficult about)
