[wellylug] Ubuntu & Debian kernel differences

On Ubuntu I upgraded regularly: 2.6.8.1-2-i686 through 2.6.10-13-i686
(although I didn't retest boot parameters on every upgrade).

On Debian currently running 2.6.8-2
