A shareholder has more of a corporate voice, and Telstra don't see a
cent unless you purchase new shares. A corporation has to serve its
shareholders, and there are legal paths open against directors who do
not act in their shareholders best interests - it matters not whether
the best interests are financial or idealogical, get enough shares and
they will listen. And you get their profits :P
