I'm a bit in this boat to.  My thoughts are that TelstraClear are the
lesser of the 2 evils.

Of course a completely different kettle of fish at work - we do use
Telecom for our mobiles and they are keen to get the rest of our business
- including Private Office Network (home dialup etc).

When I get back into work (at home crook this week) I'll do some testing
of the network and if I discover some of the government sites where our
members work are being routed overseas before coming back to Wellington
I'll be asking that our International traffic bandwidth is increased to
the same as our National bandwidth at NO cost to ourselves.

I'm sure there will be some reaction to that - 60 odd staff with dialup
access using ClearConnect @ <>$30 per month + <> $3 per hour (don't quote
me on those they are from a vague memory of last time I checked)

And then of course there is the framerelay between offices and our
Internet bandwidth.
