It is odd that the prefix for 1000 (kilo) is used to mean 1024, even
in binary.  1000 is 10^3 in base 10, which means if we are to use kilo
for base 2, it should refer to 2^3=8, where as what is really wanted
is 2^10.

We're all used to the use of kilo for 2^10 for computer-related
quantities, but it's use was never really well-founded, and it's an
anomaly that should be fixed.  Kibi does that.
