[wellylug] Problem powering off an ATX system

I managed to check that one. The BIOS has options for having the OS
control the power management, and for disabling power management.
And apm is listed as a loaded module.
This is Xandros 2, and it has 3 APM labeled install options. I'll try
them all.
The system is going to a computer-illiterate lady who will stay that way
so I am looking for a no-tweak solution - something to set once and
leave alone forever after.
Cheers,
Bret
