No, Netstumbler will not show APs that are not broadcasting their 
SSIDs.  I have no reason to doubt the antenna but I take the point.  A 
swap about might show a problem.  The antenna are shop bought and shop 
wired.  I dont have the skills to tackle that sort of hardware. 

Food for thought however.
