Hello all,

 I got the printer going (HP-DeskJet-1125C) using CUPS and the CUPS windows
drivers for "Point-n-Print" (Samba included). 

However, the windows clients where unable to access the printer properties
(yes I had connected to the printer to download the drivers through
"Point-n-print"). Access to this was needed to select drafts/B&W. So I
cleared out the CUPS windows drivers (was a little awkward) and installed
the ADOBE drivers.

 This worked until the next day when the client started to print documents
from her laptop, which was still using the CUPS windows drivers (memory
lapse on my part, laptop wasn't there on the driver change). She actually
managed to print off a few documents with the CUPS drivers until a devil
excel doc. Even after changing to the ADOBE drivers, it was still unable to
print from the laptop or any other work station.

After that, it blocked the printer queue (for some reason print queues
couldn't be deleted from the windows end *sigh* needs to be looked at too).

I cleared the print queue from the CUPS web GUI and things were able to
print again, even excel docs, but not this particular excel doc. I then
tried printing the template on which this particular excel doc is based on
and that didn't work either. So I messed around with the formatting a little
and tried printing it when a change was made, and it was like it had a mind
of its own, sometimes it would print, sometimes it wouldn't (when it did
print, it only printed the first page, and would get held up just before the
end).

Also printing pictures/photos (ie: right clicking on a picture or photo
thumbnail and selecting print) doesn't work either. Graphics in word or
excel print fine.

Note: The reason for using Samba is for user level security, like general
work data, finance data, management and what not.

Note: Workstations are using Win XP Pro

Any insights on the matter will be much appreciated.
