(BTW, if it's not clear, which it apparently isn't, I'm not saying HRM
RMS sucketh, or anything like that. His contributions to OSS are legend;
without his efforts our community would clearly be worse off(if it
existed at all, which it's entirely possible it wouldn't). I'm only
stating that Ian certainly has a very valid point, RMS is a remarkably
odd fellow. But it takes all kinds, and we need crazy idealists to push
for change just as much as we need everybody else. And you're more than
welcome to your own impressions of RMS as a person; I'm sure we will all
be pleased to read your personal perceptions of the man from when you
met him in meatspace.)
