[wellylug] Ok to remove Recovery Partition?

I can't be sure what happens with IBM's, but with my compaq laptop,
there were originally 3 partitions:
15GB Windows
2.5GB Recovery
2.5GB System Restore
After looking on the web, I found that if I was to delete the recovery
partition, the system would just take longer to be reloaded. (4 CD's
instaid of 1). I deleted it and had no problems. :-)
I'll just mention something I found out when I restored it once - my
compaq installer also wipped all my linux partitions, and reverted the
partitions back to the orginal setup. This might not occur on your
thinkpad but be careful, as you never know.
