There are drivers for the video on the via website and also there are
groups doing patches. You may have some dicking about getting them to
work, depending on what kernel and distro you are using. They include
video drivers for framebuffer mode (viafb) and for X. With my M9000 I'm
getting about 440 FPS out of glxgears with the X driver.
The hardware does MPEG4 decoding, not decryption as far as I know. Via
put out a modded version of xine which uses the hardware for playback.
