Sorry, I have no Gnome knowledge. My bet is that your system clock
does not use UTC, so you need to tell Gnome it doesn't. If you
dual-boot Windows, I can almost guarantee your system clock does not
use UTC. ntp is useful, but not required.

It's in the sendmail package. You download the sendmail source (some
RPMs are source RPMs), run the commands I gave you and then look
through the extracted and patched code for the file. You should then
be able to copy it straight into the place it belongs. The link
included in the instructions gives more detailed information.
If this all sounds too difficult, I strongly suggest coming along to
the next LUG meeting where somebody can help you. If I give you any
more advice by e-mail, it's probably likely to cause further problems!
