debian's just weird. ;-)


grub states that the menu configuration file should be
/boot/grub/menu.lst, but some distros like having a different file, and
symlink it.

However, it's best to use /boot/grub/menu.lst whenever you want to check
grub, as all distros using grub MUST have this file, and some don't use
grub.conf.

makes it easy.
