Hi all,

Can someone give me some tips for networking my Debian box with my
Windows XP Home machine? I don't know a lot about networking from
either direction, so I don't know whether I should be setting up the
Debian box as a server with Samba and connecting to it from the
Windows machine, or the other way around.

I want to connect them so I can share files (I don't have a CD writer
on the Linux box so I can't get anything off it) and so I can share an
internet connection (dialup). While I can connect from Debian using
pon I've never managed to get a robust connection - it disconnects as
soon as there is a large amount of throughput.
