Yes, we made use of the Familiar and Intimate linux distros at 
handhelds.org. I forget the exact model number of the iPAQs concerned but 
the processor was a StrongARM SA-1110 if memory serves. Do you have 
arm9-specific issues or maybe something we might be able to help you with?
