hi all,

I'm setting up a linux pc for my brother, and need some help with samba.

I've added the following entry to /etc/fstab:
//jessie/music	/mnt/jessie-music	smbfs	username=mitchell,password=<password>	0	0

It works, but only for root. The normal user can't mount or write it.

How can I make it so he can?

adding 'user' and 'users' doesn't work, and told me that smbmnt must be
installed suid root.

After making suid root, it still didn't work simply saying that the
operation is not permitted?!?

any help would be great.

thanks,
