[wellylug] Attention all Debian users

Hi Steve

A friend/colleague of mine runs Mepis on one of these. In fact I beieve
he'll be reinstalling it with Mepis 3.3.1 today or tomorrow in order to
get a wireless card working easily also. That is a Debian-Sid-based
distro, if you're not familiar with it. So it will certainly run Sarge,
although you might have a few things less than optimal - specifically
ACPI, and the winmodem may not work.

If you did use one of the Debian derived LiveCDs (Mepis, Knoppix etc)
you can always boot from the CD, and test what works first. If you want
Mepis I can supply with a CD, and I'm in Karori also. That's one install
you probably wouldn't need help with!
