Heh, Ubuntu 5.10 is fun...
It refused to install while my bluetooth dongle was connected(or maybe
it was the usb mp3 player (read, 'usb mass storage device')).
And then someone thought it'd be great fun to setup some of the extra
keys people have(mostly laptops), I pressed a 'documents' button on my
keyboard and the computer went to sleep >.< .

Other than that it looks much nicer and smoother.

Never touched a winmodem before though.
