Mandrake 9 had Maori language localisation, and that was some time ago 
now.

So, I guess that Linux as a whole has been well covered for both 
native/official languages of NZ.

I too saw that news item. I thought it was definitely biased - almost a 
free prime-time advert for Micro$oft.
