We tossed around distros, & didn't want to confuse punters with too many
choices, so we loooked at Mandriva/SuSE/Debian, with some LiveCD's as well.
Trying to target distros which are suitable for first time users. If you want
to give a presentation on Mepis/Gentoo that should be fine. Jamie B was gonna
coordinate these (you there Jamie?). If you are happy installing Gentoo, that's
fine.

Please bear in mind that offering to install also implies you are offering some
level of post install support, at least via the LUG list, if the user needs a
hand.
