I know little about these products, but I do use http-replicator to avoid 
downloading the same Gentoo package more than once for the bunch of Gentoo 
machines I look after. It's just a simple HTTP download proxy and cache 
that serialises package requests. Then every update procedure on each 
Gentoo host queries the proxy (via normal wget operation) and retrieves 
the already-downloaded package if available, otherwise the proxy downloads 
it and stores it in the cache.

It's too simple to have many other features. It's written in Python so 
should work "anywhere". It's not Gentoo-specific, although the Gentoo 
version is Gentoo-aware.
