Such a pity.  It plays natively at fullscreen on my lowly 2 Ghz iMac  
G5... and uses 15 Mbps at times... I hear *you* need a 3 Ghz intel to  
do that tho.. :P
Never?  Why buy such an expensive camera then?

Right.  H.264 in Linux?  Does it work?  (just to be on topic)
I've got some 200Gig of MovieFest <http://moviefest.org.nz> DV fotage  
and DVDs to encode - ffmpegX and memcoder etc looks to do the trick -  
but it needs to be able to be played on Mac/ Linux / Windows wityh  
"normal" software. I know Quicktime will do it on Mac/Win - but my  
Quicktime on Linux uses that lovely Cedega/Wine -- and i'm not sure  
what H.264 support there is "antively" - Ubunut is a little weird  
with mplayer support or lack thereof... ?

Any takers?
