[wellylug] Wvdial and paradise.net.nz

I recently installed Ubuntu 6.06 and have had problems connecting to
paradise.net.nz using wvdial on my Lucent Winmodem.

I have correctly installed the modem drivers and configured wvdial as it can
dial the number, but after 30 secs the modem hangup on me before pppd
finishes connecting.

 

I have attached the relevant logs.

 

Any ideas? Thanks since I'm still somewhat hopeless at some aspects of
Linux.
