Thanks for all the help. The solution to this appeared by accident last
night. When viewing the site from a neighbor's computer, I got a 403
error when trying to enlarge an image. It turned out that either the
directory or the image files themselves did not have the necessary
permissions to be viewed. That has since been adjusted.
