First time I booted a slackware system it went all the way through and
gave me a prompt. On the first letter I typed it said "There has been an
error". I discovered that if I ignored the messages and typed the userid
hit enter and entered the password that it would log me in. After I
logged out and in I never saw the message again....

In the SCO Unix manual I once had if you looked up "Kernel Panic" it
referred you to "Panic, Kernel". If you looked up "Panic, Kernel" it
referred you to "Kernel Panic". I was never sure if it was a mistake or
someone's weird sense of humour.

Windows doesn't have the monopoly on cryptic messages by any means!

Cheers,

Cliff
