Yes Cliff. I was using it as an example of what 'could' happen.

At the time I wrote that article - and you can see its date - I was 
working for Xtra, who had a number of customers hit very hard. 
Interestingly the patch had already been out a few months when it suddenly 
did the rounds here as a major issue, indicating some severely lax 
patch-management schema amongst small-to-medium-sized businesses affected. 
And many other companies wound up paying through the nose.

(I've not worked for Xtra for more than 2 years now, so yes, it is a bit 
dated, but still interesting and somewhat illustrative of what can happen, 
or so I thought.)
