Hi, y'all.
I know this ain't strictly a Linux problem, but it's FreeBSD 'nix and so
I hope somebody here can help with an NFS problem.
I've recently had a hardware problem which I traced down to a cabling
problem between a HDD and the motherboard causing data corruption. I've
replaced all IDE cables with new ones, and the data corruption problem
seems to have been fixed.
However, since then I've had no end of hassles with NFS freezing on me,
leaving the HDD light constantly glowing. The processes seem to be
alive, but nothing can be sent in or out of the server via NFS, and no
directories can be mounted on client boxen.
I've read somewhere that this could be a socket problem. How would I be
able to find out if this actually is the case?, and if it is, how would
I fix it?
In all other respects that computer seems to be working normally.
Regards,
David Murray
