I had very little luck with ACPI on my MB - an Asus Nforce4 whose
model number I cannot recollect.  The ACPI sensor reported only one
reading, it claimed it was for the CPU and it always read 40 degrees
C.

I ended up using lm-sensors and got a much better result.  The
following example CLI output is from a HOWTO and not my actual
machine:
