Yeah, I've played with XFCE a bit, but it's ... weird.  for some
reason, it seemed to not do enough for me.  However, I can easily
install both that and the Kubuntu desktop:

apt-get install xubuntu-desktop kubuntu-desktop

And *bam!* done. :-)
