It's not so much a limit of the file size as a limit to the number of 
rows.

I understand that the OOo1 series had a limit less than excel and that 
caused major problems with people importing excel sheets into OOo.  
Version 2 was fixed to equal the number of rows of Excel.  The 65K lines 
is some magical binary number which for the life of me can't really be 
bothered remebering or hunting down - I think a 16 bit number (ridicule 
awaited :-))
