I have tried a few times in the past to get this working properly, but I 
was never 100% successful. I think it was because my two monitors are not 
the same size/resolution? What's the secret and what do you sacrifice 
when TwinView works 'properly'?

How do apps (e.g. window managers) handle TwinView? I've only ever seen 
configure options for split screens (e.g. :0.0 and :0.1) or Xinerama 
screens.
