I have overtime developed a staple diet of tech news information from a 
number of sites that I visit fairly regularly.

This is supplemented with a number of blog feeds and email lists.

I thought I would ask people on this list who obviously have tech 
interests any other recommendations of tech related news sites (not 
specifically Linux/OSS but I'm happy for it to lean that way) that you 
would recommend following.
