Richard Stallman is the man you are looking for.

He is quite "unique". Some people love him, others hate him, some think
he is a genius, some think quite opposite.

I do agree with you that his argument is very petty. After all, to be
fair it should be called "KDE/Xorg/GNU/INSERT_YOUR_DEVELOPER_HERE/Linux"
