Nortons sure is a major hog ... at my last work-place with Norton
turned on the java-installation routines for oracle stuff were a 
major PITA, from the initial double-click until I saw the first
dialog box took close to 5 minutes.  With the Norton frame-
work disabled it was like 30 seconds (no, the computer in 
question wasn't the newest model, just an elderly PIV 1.6).
