First, you need to clarify something for us. When you are writing 'drive'
above, do you mean an actual physically separate piece of hardware, or are
you speaking of one section out of several all on one piece of hardware?
How many distinct physical drives are involved in your description above?
In any case, it's wise to use native partitioning tools to work with
partitions. I have both success and failure in the past using PartitionMagic
to work on redistributing space between Windows & Linux filesystems.
But we need an unambiguous description of your physical drives and partitions
on those drives before we can give save advice. Make sure to include what
filesystem each is ("this is Windows D: drive when I'm running XP" etc.).

CrossOver is WINE. WINE does indeed install it's own fake-o windows folder
where it keeps it's information & drivers. Because of Windows, that is the
C: drive generally, and WINE keeps that nomenclature.
You'll need to add another "drive letter" so Windows programs run in WINE can
access other partitions.
But tell us more clearly about your setup first.
