mmm. sounds great.

It looks like i'll be involved in the organisation a multimedia,  
gaming and technology expo about that time (late September) that  
usually attracts a few upper NI, and SI visitors..  and it usually  
gets a fair few people from around the region in as well - there are  
a few synergies that could be explored as linux users tend to be into  
technology and gadgets.  Wearing a few of my hats the event may  
combine the Digital Solutions Expo, MovieFest, and some form of  
repeat Unlimited Potentials "Gadgets Games and Geeks" event (BTW the  
stream is up on R2: http://www.r2.co.nz/20060705/)...

So yeah, I can imagine some good things in the linux space around SFD  
and an installfest, and expanded seminars etc? Would be good to get a  
few local companies to showcase what they are doing in the OSS space,  
and maybe even some embedded devices?

At present i'm job hunting - so have a little bit of "free" time, and  
now is probably a good time to start discussions (on org-list?) about  
planning for next year.
