[wellylug] Very new to Linux - have a few questions

Howdy, I just recently (as in the last month) installed Ubuntu on my Dell laptop. As to be expected, I'm at the bottom of the learning curve and have some general questions (e.g. how to get my cd/dvd-rom to read dvds from the handycam, etc). I thought I'd come to the next wellylug meeting in October. Is it considered rude to bring the the laptop along and beg for help? Thanks, -Ti
