Ok to throw my thoughts in (trying to get the wording right to not
create a 'vendor war')

Dell is not someone I recommend, sure their servers work well.  But I
don't like being told to take a disk out of a running server and put it
into another server to see if that server really has a faulty disk or if
there is a fault with the backplane.  Yes we had a support contract, but
they seem reluctant to replace the disk.

Silicon Systems in Petone is a good one ... they have supported our
Linux InstallFest for the last few years.  Although to be honest I
haven't actually used their 'whitebox' systems for linux myself.
