[wellylug] Recommend ISP?

I went with Tcom Go Large. Download speed is crap most of the time
however I like the unlimited factor. I'm willing to wait for most of my
large files, and browsing etc. is fine.

That said, I find xtra to be a great ISP. Everyone has their faults but
as a whole I find their helpdesks are good (not everyone knows their
stuff but at least they answer their phones), they're reliable and
they're fast enough for most apart from go large.

I do want to switch to cable, however. The only reason I haven't is the
helldesks are exactly that. I find their average wait time is far too
long, but once you get someone you're probably on a par with Tcom and
other big players as far as technical know-how goes.

BTW funny story. I rang and asked for a DNS change to be made once. I
explained what I wanted him to do, and waited for him to ask me the name
of the domain. He didn't say anything for ten minutes, after which he
asked me if my tv was working now. I said yes thanks and hung up...
