The cdrecord program is often easier/faster (particularly with burning
ISO images) so I like it for that reason.

You will actually find that most (all?) Linux GUI cd burning programs
use cdrecord todo the actual burning.


If you are looking for a nice GUI cd burner, give K3B a try. It
integrates well with KDE, but runs okay on gnome too.
