In the interests of making my life easier :-) and perhaps other
people, can those of you who post URLs please provide a decent summary
of the content at the other end?

"You might find this interesting ... http://some.random.website" just
doesn't do it for me; I might not, and do I really have to download
the whole thing to find out?

"Here's an interesting discussion of how to do YYY using package ZZZ
... http://whatever" gives an better idea, and really isn't that long.

A specific example ...
"If you use smokeping, this may be useful for you:"
would become
"If you use smokeping, and have difficulty transporting RRD files
between 32-bit and 64-bit machines, this may be useful ..."
