I recently bought a Dell laptop.  After many discussions with Dell, they would 
supply me any of their Precision and Latitude laptops without windows 
installed.   However they were not willing to provide the inspiration range 
without windows. Funny enough, I wanted an inspiration 9400. On the positive 
side, although it came with windows, it came with a decent install CD for 
windows so I was able to use the copy of windows within a virtual machine 
which can be handy sometimes.
