Hi guys....

I would recommend Insite in Chch or Silicon in Petone, both of whom provide
good warranty/support & who assemble custom laptops for customers, with or
without an OS installed.

Both companies have varied their laptop supplier over the years, so have not
always been able to provide laptops without an OS. I believe both can do at
present, but having been away for a few months, I may be out of date...

Neither company will provide formal support for any issues you have with Linux,
unless it is reasonably certain to be a hardware rather than driver/software
problem, but informally, both sell & support Linux on server hardware so have
some in-house Linux expertise.

These days I often save $$ by buying laptops from somewhere like
www.nzlaptops.co.nz, where you can get second hand systems with limited
warranties, sometimes without an OS installed.

Cheers,
