Hi everyone....
Seasons greetings, etc....
Slightly OT, but I figure there are a few here who can provide some advice.
While (briefly) back in NZ, I'm looking at setting up a couple of basic VOIP
systems (one residential, one business) running through a TeltraClear cable
modem.
A single phone line is all that is required at each site. I don't want a PC
required for either system, so either a internet phone or ATA with analogue
phone is required. I do need to be able to run a PC at each site if required,
sharing the broadband connection with the phone.
In theory there is GoTalk, iTalk, etc.... all of which should work, although
I've heard Slingshot's iTalk doesn't like TelstraClears's modems.
I'd like to retain the existing Telstra ph nos.
Does anyone have any advice/recommendations as to which hardware/service is a
good way to go (or which to avoid)?
Thanks,
Brent Wood
