NOTE: If you do that the problem will be "solved," in that it will
vanish away silently at boot.
Using that partition can then happily go ahead and corrupt the data you
put on it, eventually destroying some valuable content that (irony being
what it is) you only have one copy of.
In other words: when you have a corrupt file system the "fix" of not
bothering to check that will /not/ fix the underlying problem.
