I've got a machine with (according to lspci)

* ATI Technologies Inc RV370 5B60 [Radeon X300 (PCIE)]
* ATI Technologies Inc RV280 [Radeon 9200 PRO] (Secondary) (rev 01)

doing three heads usually, and 4 occasionally. It works fine under Fedora Core
6. This is a Pentium D 64. I did have problems with getting both cards working
when it was an AMD 64 processor. Each card on its own worked fine, but both
together: no chance. There are things that suggest it may have been a
motherboard problem, though, so you might be OK for dual cards, and the single
card/dual head worked fine all the time
