Well .. in the past I've seen the odd occasion where certain 
cards didn't like sharing their IRQs, namely some RAID controllers.

If, in a swap of hardware, that one was alotted to the same
IRQ as e.g. a graphics card, there was trouble.  Regardless
of module params.
