Let's mellow it down to "If you don't know what your machine
does with high-level programming on a low level you're more
likely to produce inefficient code" .... and as always: like
with Java and other hyped stuff: why bother if you can 
just throw more hardware at it ;} ... hardware is cheaper
than programming time.
