Sadly, this is the default configuration for Ubuntu and its offspring.
 Make sure you remove all three devices from the Devices section -
Pen, Tablet, and Mouse - and from the ServerLayout section as well.
Just commenting these out or removing the lines altogether should
help.

Now if only I could do away with that pesky UUID crap they've decided
they *must* have.  *sob*
